I’m so glad you are here! Hi, I’m Mea—a holistic nutritionist, private chef, world traveller, and mind wanderer. I’m passionate about healthy living, self- development and human relationships.

Born in Finland, nature was always a part of my life. But it wasn’t until I lived abroad for many years that I truly came to understand and appreciate the pure, wild nature of the North and the food that grows there.  I spent two years of my childhood in the Himalayan mountains of India, where meditation was part of my daily routine, I learned English and went by the name “Vijaya Lakshmi”.


Fast forward a decade and I’m back in Finland, trained as a chef and working in various restaurants in Helsinki. After having decided to let go of my dream of owning a fine dining restaurant, I found myself enrolled in a course to becoming a dog trainer. Not because I planned it, but because I became fascinated by behavioural science. What started as a way to train my new puppy turned into 6 years of running my own successful dog school.


But the world was calling me. When holidays with a return ticket no longer satisfied my thirst for adventure, I packed my bags and flew to Australia, where a six-month stay turned into three years of personal growth and unforgettable experiences. I lived in every corner of the continent and worked in various restaurants, learning about different dietary requirements. I suddenly knew what odd words like “Keto” and “Paleo” meant.


Mysterious as life is, the end of 2019 found me in Geneva, Switzerland. I remember sitting in the kitchen of my Airbnb rental, looking out of the grey window, thinking ; "What on earth am I doing here?" I had no job, no money, and no plan. I missed the sun and the ocean. But I gave Geneva a chance, and Geneva took it. After some intentional searching, I finally found a vegan restaurant that was willing to hire the non-French speaker. At the same time, my dog training and culinary skills began gaining attention through social media and word of mouth.


Before I knew it, my days were filled with dog training and cooking for my very first Genevan clients. At this time I also got more interested in functional medicine and the profound effect food has on our bodies. The curiosity fueled by my own struggle with hormonal imbalances and digestive issues, got me completely hooked on podcasts, books and documentaries on the topic. I wanted to know everything about the healing power of food!


Since then, my business has blossomed and evolved. I am proud to have an ever-growing number of satisfied clients and I have even twisted myself into a French speaker!  In 2023, I began studying holistic nutrition at École de Nutrition Holistique in Geneva and have since then been fully certified.

 

My work is continuously transforming—from just cooking to cooking with intention, using food as a powerful component in promoting and supporting health. What we eat builds every single cell in our bodies, which in turn affects every action, thought, emotion, and experience. There is nothing more important than what’s on our plates!
